Daily reminder that all major American media companies are fully complicit with this fascist takeover. And at least one group I can think of is enthusiastically supporting it (skydance)

That photograph is unbearable because it traps a man in the exact second before his murder. He is alive, kneeling, terrified, and fully aware that the next sound he hears will be the gunshot that ends him. The camera steals even that last mercy, forcing him to die forever, over and over, every time someone looks. He is not a symbol or a lesson, he is a human being caught at the instant the world decides he no longergets to exist.

    Ice are nazis. Abolish ice.

If I was the one murdered and could be aware of this, I would be massively thankful that at least this moment was caught so clearly, that I didn’t die alone, that maybe it won’t be for nothing and people will see this and have a fire ignited within them to continue the fight.

So many people have been killed just like this before that we never saw and will never know about. The murderer has worked for Border Patrol for 8 years. I would be completely unsurprised to learn he had already murdered others.

They’ve murdered a lot of people behind closed doors that’s why it’s so important to keep recording.

The irony of it is that, because of this, he will exist far longer than any of us will, but he shouldn’t have had to.

These two photos (to me) point to something even more monstrous in modern times.

For all of its barbarism, the guy on the left still at least had the courage of his convictions to show his face while commiting his crime. He believed enough to not hide his face like a coward.

ICE is just effectively keyboard warriors with guns in the real world. They have the balls to pull their shit only so long as they can stay hidden and safe behind masks while doing so. A bunch of fucking cowards who would immediately piss themselves if they were one on one and unmasked.

I’m not going to defend any nazi, especially the guy on the left. But at least nazi’s used to have the courage of their convictions. Nowadays it’s just barely literate dude-bros looking for a mask so they can execute people.

Before, theirs was the only voice being platformed, so they knew they needn’t fear. Nowadays, they’re a minority voice in most public spaces and know it.

If it makes you all feel any better, the nazi with the gun didn’t survive the war. Also, his hometown covered his name on a war memorial with a QR code so people would know what he’d done and he’d get proper credit for his monstrous acts.

That’s why they wear masks now, so they can just walk around like normal people when they aren’t murdering us in the street.

I like to imagine that their thoughts were “damn, maybe this was a bad idea” at the end.

Except they clearly were incapable of logical reasoning so it’s unlikely.

Yeah, most of them never relented. They simply did their best to assimilate back into normal life. Most absolved their consciences by convincing themselves what they’d done was an acceptable part of fighting a war.

Still, whether it was through Nazi hunters, prosecutions, or family testimonies… their names live on in infamy.

Yeah, I’m surprised that the pursuit continued after the Nuremberg trials. Like Australia found 6.

The French though? They didn’t fuck around. Goddamn lol. 10,000 - 15,000 executions. The US thought it was 80k, and the French minister said 105k, but those numbers are unlikely and the 10k-15k is accepted.

They mostly were just professional secret police that freelanced. Some hunted people during White Terror/Red Scare periods, even.

I’m not going to say you’re wrong, but I’m conflicted by your comment. Was it really courage? I counter that they truly thought that they were right and had no reason to cover their faces. The Geneva conventions, nor the Internet, were things at the time. There wasn’t any meaningful, if any, backlash to being a racist at the time. There was no risk to facists having your face uncovered back then, but there definitely is now.

These cowards have the advantage of knowing the history of the Nazis though. And they continue to carry out their mission. Even worse, by concealing their identities they do seem to hope that they can keep showing up to brunch and dance recitals to hobnob with the same people that they will be choking out and shooting in the face later in the evening.

While the original phrasing might come off a little strange, I think that there is something to be said about the meaning.

Those helmets barely stop 9mm. Any high-velocity rifle round would go through them. They really only wear them to stop shrapnel.

Also, while it’s hard to tell from pictures and videos, it doesn’t look like the ERO ICE fucks are running ceramic plates in their vests. The way they’re moving around while wrestling people on the ground the videos I’ve seen looks way more nimble than I ever was in full plates.

If I’m right, and again I wouldn’t stake anything on it from just videos and images, they’re just running with 3a soft armor which provides stab protection and protection from handgun calibers. 5.56 wouldn’t notice a difference between that or a north face shell.
