Solar panels produce 36.6% more energy in space than on earth at noon with ideal atmospheric conditions (clear sky). As it’s not always clear and not always day on earth, so I suspect the difference to be 300-400%, plus storage inconvenience.

Signal requires your phone number, which is not only quite bad for privacy, but also easy to block 2FA for your government if it decides it doesn’t like private chats.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•New textbook for 9th grade students in Greece promotes right and alt-right ideologyEnglish
1·16 hours agoOf course this is true, but it this combined with the other points teaches girls that it’s normal for men to use violence and therefore they should fear them.
Don’t see these points in the snippets you provided. Some men use violence, and they should account for that when calculating a path. Don’t see a better way to teach it.
Yes, but what if the government is the one supporting these ideologies.
Scientific consensus can be taught in a neutral way.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•US Expats(or hopeful expats), what countries do you consider your good home away from home?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it even possible to drop 20 lbs in a month? Are there any diets for people who want to go to the extreme? Kind of like celebs do for roles?
7·3 days agoThe normal pace is 1 kg/week (~2lb), faster diet will lead to your body malforming, but it’s definitely possible.
Also exercise is not as important as proper diet. It’s better to do no exercise and eat little than burn many calories and eat even more.
