I think it’s okay to give friends advice because you think you know better. It’s also perfectly fine if they don’t share your views, whether out of laziness, inertia, or convenience, or because they’ve weighed the pros and cons for themselves and don’t agree with you. Ranting doesn’t accomplish anything productive. Trying to convert others and insisting on your own absolute truth doesn’t either. To others, it comes across as propaganda, and you just end up looking like an idiot.

I never actively watch trailers, but I do come across them from time to time. They are just fucking commercials to get people to pre-order and buy stuff with false representations. The artistic component is also debatable, they are mostly just garbage. In my whole life I have only seen one good trailer that actually moved me. It naturally had very little to do with the game itself.
