I do completely agree with him. As i said, I’m not defending it. A simple solution is to just not buy it. It is a luxury good after all.
It better be, why else would i do it?

But does that still result in a ban or just a warning?
Because people aren’t a hive mind. Voting with the wallet doesn’t really work on limited luxury goods due to population scale.
Something like concert tickets or any luxury good is in such a low supply that there will always be enough people with more money or credit than sense.
So there pretty much isn’t a choice of not buying and prices eventually getting lower.
The prices of luxury goods will always be as high as possible and thanks to population scale and ad campaigns, that’s going to be rather high.
Though don’t get me wrong, im not advocating in defense of buying expensive useless shit. I’ve quit quite a few things and at least one addiction because the price rose above some predetermined limit. Just that the voting part doesn’t really work anymore.

Maybe the difference is where it stems from. Like with avoidant personality that need is still there, just suppressed. But with autism there is no need. The end result is still the same.
Though take it with a grain of salt as I’m just guessing.
Why would i do that? Exactly, because if they need or want me, they will invite me.

The crash will come at some point, but based on the last decade, crypto boom, covid, just greed, now AI. Some new bullshit comes and jacks up the prices even more.
Call me a doomer, but the market is permanently messed up. It will not recover as long as some new player, maybe China, will enter the market.

Noup, probably AI generated picture as messed up hands are a rather stereotypical for AI.

I agree, i wasn’t aware that falls under it. That’s a surprise.
Well at least now i know why I’m lacking some magical drive that’s pushing people to go and interact with others.

27/39. That’s kinda nice, some symptoms have most definitely gone “away”, more like I’ve learned to compensate enough over the years.
Mostly from social interactions side, having same friend/social group for years is rather beneficial in learning their behavior patterns.
Sensory side is least effected, but that’s probably because it swings to the other extreme end and nearly all sensory input is rather muted, but even that has benefits. High pain and discomfort tolerance is rather beneficial.

I get you. The worst case that has happened for me was walking past my own wife and not recognizing her just because i wasn’t expecting her to be at that location.
Though it has a positive side as well. I’ve become decent at improvising social interactions.

What about people who turned to w10 ltc as a compromise and to avoid w11?

Just for clarification, i don’t really care about fashion, i prefer comfort and efficiency and bulk buying oversized t-shirts and sweatpants, shorts for summer, seem to be the absolute best for that purpose.
But, we do have the entire world at our fingertips. No need to be limited to whatever your local store offers.

So all the bans were just performative. As soon as it gets slightly uncomfortable, sanctions are removed.
Completely fair, just the difference and lack of constant flow of content is going to put off many people and without a significant enough drive there’s no point to get used to the new environment.
Mind pointing me in a the right direction?
I’ve reached to similar conclusion myself after some testing and words of some moderators of subs. I was thinking about testing it out on a virtual machine, but it’s probably easier to just move over to alternatives. I’ll probably still give it a shot at some point when I’m bored.
Though thank you for elaborating more.
That’s good to know. I was wondering and testing the exact pattern to avoid shadowbans. I’m just bored after getting permabanned and got curious what methods they use to give out shadowbans.
Few specifying questions, if you don’t mind.
On the part without VPN. Wouldn’t that get a usual ban? Or it’s already beyond that scanning timeframe after 10d.
And you mentioned browser. Is it specifically browser and app usage must be avoided or was it just an irrelevant word choice and app can be used as well?
Additionally, wouldn’t just aging the account by 30d work or the no activity part still gets flagged by the system?
It still is more populated and has a lot higher activity, which suits slightly better for doomscrolling.
Lemmy needs to get slightly more popular.
And maybe a centralized place to find different instances?
Like i haven’t found any active fitness related ones.
It’s like coming from a convention Hall full of people and going into a minimally occupied hotel.
Yeah they have really gone over the top with enforcing R1. Upvoting is already enough to get banned as it falls under sharing and it doesn’t have to actually mention any harm to the individual, just reference R1.
