BAE Systems Digital Intelligence has signed two government contracts worth £3.6m since December 2025 to support the police with “data integration and exploitation”, documents obtained by Statewatch show.

It’s BAE systems. “UK police in contract with UK company” isn’t much of a headline, but that’s basically what this boils down to.
The fact that BAE have sold to dictators is a massive problem, so I’m not excusing that, but that headline is plain click-bait. Who should the UK police be signing contracts with?
The key question is “What are they buying?”. Not “Who from?”. They are probably buying from a reasonable source in this case.
