One design used the corporate minimalism style. Who would like a note resembling Facebook help pages?

And one crops the people portraits to the face. As a person with face blindness I feel very sad about non inclusive designs.

They really want to make birds-and-buildings happen, huh. Don’t really care about birds TBH, but I liked most of the birds designs and its fresh. The people-based design, I feel like that’s not a great pick for such a diverse polity, unless they’re planning on rotating which people get printed. Rotating would be really neat (for the animal designs, too), but I doubt they’re planning on doing that.

The decision of who or what is portrayed was made before the competition. We’ve had 2 generations so far and the second followed the theme but not the subjects. They might want a new design in 10-20 years again, quite likely the design we choose now will influence what we end up with next. I’d be down for a shuffle halfway through though.
