There are a lot of examples of survivorship bias, yet for some reason people always use this one… 🤔

same. I didn’t crack my egg until trump part 2 so I had to seriously think about whether to transition or wait for safety. at the end of the day it was transition or die, so here I am transitioning :3

I’m sorry that you have to deal with everything going on. I know that doesn’t make anything at all better, but I am sorry.

I think trans women are strong and resilient because you all have to go through so much, and it takes immense courage to finally cut the bullshit and let you be you. And yes, that’s the same as the bomber meme.

Just know some of us are out there trying to be allies for you. We may not know you specifically, but we support you.

i’m not addressed here and i think your words are really kind, but fiy transfems often do not enjoy being called buddy.

please don’t say now that buddy is gender neutral. i am sure it is to you, and that u mean well, but many trans fems perceive it differently and after all you are trying to be an allie to us, right? sowwy no offense intended just trying to spread knowledge :3

I was also going to comment the same thing, I can’t even really express why I hate it so much. It somehow feels like the least gender affirming possible thing to call me.

I can second the “don’t call me buddy” sentiment. If you’d like to refer to me the way you’d refer to a child, please use “sweetie” or “darling” or “miss.”

I’ve said it before, but sometimes a meme reminds me it needs saying again.

    Y’all trans folks?

I love you all. You’re beautiful, and the world is a better place because you’re in it. The fact of trans people existing makes for a more complete and wonderful humanity than we’d have without you. I know that doesn’t mean much coming from some internet rando, but if I could have one wish fulfilled for other people, it would be that everyone could see what I see when I look at our trans brothers, sisters, and others.

You may not think it means much, but it means the world to us. In a world so filled with judgement and prejudice, having to deal with nasty looks and dismissive behavior, and sometimes straight laughter or nasty comments within earshot. It wear on the soul really, and some of us will never blossom because of this behavior.

To drop support messages every once in a while? Youre already doing more than alot of “supporters” and the reminder that the world isnt all hate is potentially life saving for some of us.

So thank you, it means everything to us ❤️❤️❤️

Planes that returned safely all have holes as marked in the diagram above. Those are the places that were shot but still allowed the plane to return safely. Some people argued that those are the places that need to be strengthened.

The part without holes in the diagram? Those planes got shot in those places and never get to make it back hence never made it into statistics. Basically survivorship bias.
