    Okay but the Dems of the 90s and early 2000s were significantly more right-wing than the Dems in the late 10s and early 20s.

    The GOP has moved right, but the Dems largely have not. It’s just that the Dems are still insufficiently left to solve any of the problems facing us.

      Of course, they don’t want to give up that sweet corporate cash flow if they go too far left of Reagan. Citizens United needs to be repealed.

    “communist” (and “woke” and other epithets) is a term of tribal identity. The Dems could lean fully into Handmaid’s Tale christofascism in the name of bipartisanship and they’d still be “communists”, for the same reason a rival sports team are still the enemy despite no ideological difference.

    Who’s cozying up to Russia, China, and North Korea?! (Although those places communist in name only)
