The destruction of nature gives people crippling depression which generates billions for big pharma. Massive stroads make our cities too dangerous and stressful to run in or bicycle which forces us to pay for gym memberships. The lack of recreation in nature also forces us to spend money on shitty hobbies we don’t actually enjoy. And the destruction of our communities makes us far more susceptible to propaganda

this was pretty much inevitable… i once asked the CEO of Cruise whether he foresaw the self-driving cars talking to each other and then to other cars, street lights, etc and he just kinda shrugged. It was too far off in the future considering they didn’t, and still don’t really, have cars that can drive by themselves.
