8·10 months agoOkay, I restarted Lemmy and it seem to have caught up with the federation. Im not sure why, but federation to lemmy.world was stuck. I’ll keep monitoring the situation, but for now it seems like it’s resolved.

theNetherlands@feddit.nl•Any ATMs in Amsterdam with generous limits on foreign cards?Nederlands
4·1 year agoI don’t know about foreign cards, but even with a card of a Dutch bank I couldn’t get €400 from an ATM, €250 was the max, really annoying.
And I couldn’t find any info about the why and where, it’s so weird.
Everyone else does between 15 and 19 No they don’t. It just looks like it. At 30 the things they found important at 18 aren’t important anymore. Priorities shift.
Everyone else is getting married at 23 I literally know no-one that was married at 23.
At 30 I’ll still be trying to move out Just like a lot of people of this generation. They are fucked by housing prices.
So you’re not alone in this. I think most people are in a similar situation. Try to find people that can support and help you. Just don’t give up, you never know what happens tomorrow.
I think no one has their life together at their twenties. At your thirties things start to calm down, and gives you the oppertunity to organise your life. Only then you know who you are and what you want from life, and then you can change up your life for it to be what you want it to be.
It’s practically impossible to fix a painting covered in ink. It’s never too late for a life to change.
Oh wow. This was an entertaining read, and I’m so grateful to not have a Fucking Ryan in my family!

6·1 year agoI’m running a normal linux distro, with everything running in containers using docker compose files. No VMs, since they are overkill for my needs. I’m running stuff like the *arr stack, home assistant, smokeping, unifi controller, pihole etc. Setting it up is quite simple, and the distro can be whatever you prefer (I use Arch btw).
Yust buy a SAS controller (with cables), they are used pretty cheap.
Why do you still want to extract the encrypted data? Do you still have the encryption key somehow? Else even if you desolder the storage, manage to dump the raw bits, you won’t be able to get anything useful from it.
