I’ve been in Canada in the summer, they seemed to tolerate 30°C better than northern europeans

You could block the author if it’s a link to his website, but for posted images, how could lemmy detect the author without scanning (AI ?) the author’s name in the picture ?
Well I guess “they” could program bots to start posting only after X days, but still better than nothing for now

Progressive Metal Music@sopuli.xyz•[Best of 2025] Dessiderium - Pollen for the Bees (FFO Wilderun, symphonic with some harsh vox)
27·7 days agoBoy, that’s a tough one, I don’t know how many dozens of album he’s done and I love all of them 😅
If by tolerance for harsh vocals, you mean you enjoy it (Amorphis and Opeth have some of the best extreme vocals), I’d say Strapping Young Lad is a good way in. I’d say the Alien album, or the cult classic City.
If you prefer clean vocals with some screams, from his solo stuff I’d say : Infinity, Empath or Terria
Deconstruction is a bit chaotic but with some great guests (and tunes)
Not a fan favorite but Synchestra is one of my 5 CDs to be stuck with on a desert island
Also height difference is not always great for sexy time
I get why a woman would enjoy being easily carried by her man or things like that (which a shorter but strong man could accomplish too), but the height (and probably weight) difference can limit sexual positions (or their practicality)
Last episode of HIMYM (actually I can’t watch the last season because of that)

14·8 days agoI’d add “FFO Devin Townsend” but it’s a bit implied by the “FFO Wilderun”
Thanks for the suggestion, I really like Wilderun but I prefer their symphonic parts to their folk parts, so this hits the spot with more “in your face” symphonic/prog metal

Paradoxically that’s also probably what will kill me
I get that a lot of people loved it, but to me (and some other people too) it was way too much “simulation” and slow paced for me.
I have no issue with a 120-hour playthrough of The Witcher 3 or things like that, so it’s not like I only like fast paced short action type games, but without mods I wouldn’t have finished RDR2
I’m gonna get downvoted for that but whatever…
What if the problem is that RDR2 often feels more like a chore than playing a game ?
(I know the solution is mods, which I did)

I always imagined the hobbits based on western/atlantic celts (irish, scottish, welsh, breton, …), so it would check out, as a stereotype

I agree, when I joined lemmy I was annoyed I couldn’t post in some communities because my account wasn’t at least 30 days old. This would be a temporary fix.
And thanks for acknowledging the issue
