Doesn’t that mean free of triad censorship and propaganda?

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•How Often Do AI Chatbots Lead Users Down a Harmful Path?English
2·4 days agoI can definitely see these algorithms getting so good at hacking our psyche that they could potentially incept any kind of understanding with enough time. It’s still rudimentary with broad strokes but we can already observe the damage its causing on our society.

8·5 days agoThere’s no stopping this. There’s too much social entropy pushing and pulling for any sort of meaningful action. We’ll get maybe one more Empire run and perhaps a world war to top off humanity.

2·5 days agoYeah I’m talking about the polymerization. If you oversaturate the wood it can seep out a bit and start to harden. It can be polished down to give a semi gloss which is nice. I was just wondering about the maintenance mostly. Do you reapply the tung oil again and wait for the curing to finish or just use it right away?

3·5 days agoIs tung oil good for cooking utensils? I love that tung oil leaves a crust that can be slightly polished. I just wonder how long that would last.

Oh weird, if I encountered someone doing something without skill, I normally don’t care, unless it was somehow truly offensive. I haven’t even considered that anyone would care enough about such things. Thanks man for the clarity.
Yeah, I suppose I’ve used the word beyond its scope. Let’s take dancing for example. People go to social events, like clubs, to socialize, dance, and hookup with people. That’s definitely beyond the word hobby. However, let’s say you want to learn to dance and decide to go to a dance school and take classes. I would consider that a hobby. Now, in context to the OP, activities conjoined with skill implies, at least to me, that maybe they’re talking about the latter kind of behavior. I dunno, but your view is perfectly valid.
“Give it to us raw and wr-r-r-r-riggling, you keep nasty chips!”
The image doesn’t mention walking. Singing, dancing, and art. I consider those to be hobbies, don’t you? I define hobbies as fun unnecessary activity, or in this case - behavior.
Hobbies are supposed to be a fun activity in which your skill with it generally increases, no?

Ukraine@sopuli.xyz•Captain of suspected Russian shadow tanker in French custodyEnglish
2·9 days agoHow does the Mediterranean territorial laws work? Did the tanker try to go through French waters to smuggle sanctioned oil? Would it be better to bounce the vessel than to seize it, because this could be close piracy, not unlike US seizure of Venezuelan oil.

1·10 days agoI don’t understand your point too well, especially in relation to my point that vegetable farming also harms animals. But yeah, humans cause a tremendous amount of harm, which I’m defining as general suffering in this particular case. People won’t starve because there’s less meat being produced, but it seems like you’re arguing that reducing meat consumption will cause more overall suffering?
