7·13 hours agoThe same movement is visible in the Netherlands. In Germany, a couple of states are going down this road, but they’re not doing enough. Which is weird, because the Germans are very concerned about data protection, yet they do not mind if their medical data is in some US cloud…
5·13 hours agoThere was a documentary about her a few years back on ARTE. She’s an extremely empty person, with no distinguishing characteristics, the documentary was like eating sleeping tablets.
That’s no secret. The process speed it up because of Trump! Before trumpy , there was no urgency on anyone’s side.

Not so sure either of these agreements are really difficult. Sure, mercusor may end up in court, and this one needs to be ratified by the European countries and the Europe Parliament, but let’s be honest that is standard process. Both agreements will most likely be up and running within a year.

422·13 hours agoIt took me ages to correctly understand the US expression “in the world”. It doesn’t literally mean that something is the “best in the entire world”, it usually means it is US American and/or pretty good.

I’m a bit of a hipster myself (hair hanging down, jeans, an ankh around my neck, a Celtic tattoo on my butt, and I smoke a pipe), and I can only agree.
One small step on a longer road. Sure, these bikes look compelling, and freedom are important, in reality they are too fast and often pimped, it’s a new mode of transport nobody really needs.
In molecular biology, they are used for instance to calculate/ predict protein-folding. This in turn is used to create new drugs.
