I just searched lemmy and commented. I’m not the first person to post about the issues with signing up to lemmy, there are posts about people just giving up. I am trying to sign up to lemmy.world, I assumed the issue would be lemmy, perhaps it is just lemmy.world? I signed up to mastodon today as well, took 1 minute.

1·14 hours agono idea if the captchas differ between instances? (or whatever) these are the ones I am seeing (this is definitely one of the easier ones I am seeing, all of them are the same style, but this one at least it is only 4 characters)

2·15 hours agoShould start with fixing the signup page first, it errors for no reason and the captcha is almost impossible to read.

Linux@programming.dev•Bazzite sees a massive jolt in installs in late June and early July, catapulting it to over 86k active devices. It has doubled the number of active devices since November.English
1·1 day agoPossibly. I looked at it again earlier this year, and it had weird install restrictions going on, can’t remember what exactly, but it didn’t appear to be multi os friendly.
The fedora codec thing always turned me away from it.

1·2 days agoDon’t worry, y’all somehow making it even worse than it already was, it will get down to your level soon enough.
The comment was about them reinstalling cachyos 20 times, highly unlikely to happen unless they broke it at least a dozen times. Other reasons might include wanting to partition differently etc
I have installed cachyos a few times in the past just checking it out, never used it for long enough to notice any stability, update issues etc. It seemed decent enough, just nothing special, and not for me. I use an arch based distro, never had any issues that I didn’t cause myself, but there are other distros that can be a bit daft.
