They are “buy once” in that their licenses include perpetual fallback. Whenever you stop paying, you retain your licenses perpetually
391·2 年前This is either a person who hasn’t followed ETH since 2016 or is intentionally spreading misinformation.
It HAS been rolled back once, when the blockchain was in its infancy. But to say that it is still “centrally controlled” suggests having no idea what has happened in the 9 years since.
I generally agree (especially with the current critique of using up water/power just for one image)
But I can’t get behind “this tool will make people who don’t use it feel bad”. The same arguments were levied against Photoshop and now it’s a tool in the arsenal. The same arguments were levied against the camera. And I could see the same argument against the printing press (save those poor monks doing calligraphy)
The goal of “everything shall be AI” is fucked and clearly wrong. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any use for it. People who wanna crank out slop will give up when there’s no money in it and it doesn’t grant them attention.
And I say this as someone who despises how every website has an AI chatbot popping up when I visit their site and every search engine is offloading actually visiting and reading pages to AI summaries

There wasn’t anything against a coup member being on the ballot, which was what happened in Colorado, but regardless of number of (electoral) votes he should not be allowed to swear in
We’ll see what ends up happening though

if so, then which is more decentralized: a corporation or a government
yes, what you said was paradoxical, which is why i was saying “it’s actually in favor of government”
I agree decentralized is better, but isn’t that an argument in favor of a government having more control than a corporation?
