Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Are there any good Lemmy communities for American expats going to the EU?
23·1 month agoThe EU is not a single country, so it would be helpful to know which country they’re going to

CasualEurope@piefed.social•Not sure why, but everytime I think about German music, I think of this song, 99 Luftballoons. What is the most famous German song in your European country?
2·4 months agoI do believe they are more popular and do more shows outside of the Netherlands, so probably in Germany as well. That could be it

Really annoying that it’s at the Feed level. I usually browse Lemmy by Subscribed, so having to go back to Feeds looses my position in me own feed, just because I wanted to look up that one thing, or check new replies for that other message
I had my girlfriend sleep over when I was 17 (40 now). Besides that, what’s with the insinuations in your text? A little trust towards your son might go a long way further than insulting him

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What’s an outdated piece of tech you still use and love?
21·1 year agoI recently bought a Pioneer PD-F905 101 CD player. It’s 30 years old and I absolute love it. It needed a lot of cleaning (mostly nicotine and tar), but after that it worked like a charm again

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you find genuine community in an atomized, individualistic society?
3·1 year agoScouting helped me a lot with this. It’s an active community, and not just for kids. And it’s worldwide, so wherever you go, there’s a community you can visit, or recognize
It seemed to me that it happens on certain posts. It crashed on me when I scrolled past one, and consistently would. It also happened again later on start, but that was gone when enough new posts were there.
I can’t pinpoint the type of post though, or the individual posts.

Essentially this. You don’t need fancy or expensive equipment to start, and you can replace parts as you go about. However, do avoid the all-in-one mobile players from brands like Lenco and Denver. They put really poor quality parts in there that can hurt your records. But anything above that is already good enough
