Buy a used one, ideally refurbished. Those can be incredibly cheap. Feel free to slap any basic out of the box os on there, free os’s like Mint or Zorin are very beginner friendly, and you should be good to go.

I run Mint myself and it’s fairly idiot proof. While I don’t have as much free time as I used to, running most of the games I enjoy on steam is possible there. I’ve heard good things about Bazzite, as it seems to specifically cater to the gaming crowd. I haven’t tried it out myself though, since gaming isn’t my biggest priority.

Bei mir im Ortsteil komme ich alleine mit dem Bodenrichtwert auf knapp 18000 Euro pro Parkplatz (bei einem normierten Stellplatz mit 12,5 qm)

Bei einer angenommenen Rendite von 3%, also knapp über Inflation, hat der fiktive Parkplatz also eine “Zielmiete” von etwa 540 € pro Jahr oder 45 € pro Monat. Ist jetzt nicht utopisch viel, aber dennoch eine relevante Förderung für Autobesitzer wie mich, insbesondere weil wir ja schon einige Parkplätze hier haben.

13€/qm ist weniger als hier bei mir in der Gemeinde üblich. Ich wohne in einer Kleinstadt im Einzugsgebiet von Frankfurt mit direktem U- und S-Bahn Anschluss. Parken ist außerhalb der Gegend direkt um die zentrale Fußgängerzone kostenfrei. Mein eigenes Auto steht derzeit vor dem Nachbarhaus, natürlich kostenfrei.

I’m really hoping that significant public entities, such as the European Commission, really push for making open source options viable in a commercial setting. While it’s probably harder to maintain an open source OS, office suite or communications tool than it is to just use Microsoft’s proprietary options out of the box, it’s probably still the better choice in the mid to long term. Even if leaving aside the security and sovereignty aspects and presuming that it’s not even cheaper, I would still prefer to pay a bunch of admins and devs to keep OS running and well adjusted to your workflows than simply paying Microsoft for the pleasure of getting a licence.

I absolutely cannot stand the kind of people who answer a brief and simple yes or no question with a wall of text or a two minute voice note. Ich wünsche mir sogar ein komplettes Verbot für Werbung, die an Kinder gerichtet ist. Das sollte dann auch Verpackungsdesign beinhalten. Ein riesiges Problem ist etwa, dass Kinder (meine zumindest) in der Bewertung, ob sie ein Produkt gut oder schlecht finden, vor allem einfließen lassen, ob das bunt und mit ansprechenden Figuren ist. Wenn Nahrungsmittel, die sich primär an Kinder richten, vom Design her langweilig wären, ist die Steuerung durch Eltern besser umsetzbar.
