GrapheneOS virker med både bank-apps (AL Sydbank) og Mobilepay. Det eneste der ikke virker er MitID, på grund deres retarderede anvendelse af Play Integrity, men der kan man bare brude kodeviser og chip.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some good algorithm free alternatives to YouTube?

On desktop, YouTube with uBlock, then browse without login.
If the end result is that psychedelics get used as an excuse to take power away from the FDA, then everybody’s safety gets compromised in all areas of healthcare.
Yes, but it shouldn’t be legalized for the wrong reasons. We used to justify legalization using arguments about personal freedom for recreational use and pushing for more rigorous research into the therapeutic use cases. Now its popularity in the population is just used to push a pseudo-scientific and anti-science agenda.
It can be quite difficult for puzzling reasons. I bought my laptop with no OS because it was cheaper to buy a Windows license separately. I downloaded the ISO and put it on a USB drive and … It wouldn’t boot. It took me half a day and I had to follow guides with various black magic which I can’t even recall what was about to finally get the thing to boot from USB. After spending over a day on that, I installed Ubuntu and set up dual booting in about 30 minutes.

I’m not logged in because I don’t want any suggestions! I’m using ReVanced of course.

11·2 years agoI’ve typed those letters SO many times. I remember being shit faced drunk in high school and getting a call from a friend who was installing Windows XP but forgot the key, because he just assumed that I could recite it. Which I could, and still can, 20 years later.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•What games can you not get into because they feel too outdated?English
41·2 years agoI got the PS1 anniversary edition which had Metal Gear Solid on it, and I don’t get how that game was ever as popular as it was. The handling is super janky, and the graphics is so dark that you basically cannot discern the environment and the enemy unless you stay still and watch for moving pixels.
Do you even know how to read this analysis? It simply shows you the blocks in the JPEG that contain high frequency information, it doesn’t massively reveal areas that were edited. The documentation even tells you how to read it, but you obviously didn’t bother to reference it; you can only use it to compare areas with similar texture and edges to see if they have been compressed differently. Text and high detail textures are supposed to be highlighted because THAT IS HOW JPEG WORKS; it throws away information in uniform and low detail areas to save space, because human perception cannot tell the difference. This would only indicate manipulation if parts of the text contained less or more information than similar looking parts, indicating that someone e.g. took a highly compressed JPEG, added uncompressed new image fragments and compressed it again using high quality settings.
I really don’t care about this particular image, but you are claiming that you can tell fakes from reals by using an analysis method in a wrong way, and you didn’t bother to back up your claim, you just linked to an analysis which could cause people to jump to the wrong conclusion. This is how misinformation begins.
Edit: for reference, look at the ELA for this random bumper sticker: https://fotoforensics.com/analysis.php?id=0461290163af13fe55380b661fc1bf9d5d56a020.463104&show=ela
This effect is completely expected. Frankly, ELA seems like a crackpot analysis. At least you have to be REALLY careful when applying it to JPEG. You would need to have two similar looking bumper stickers of the same size and same level of detail in shadows in the same picture. Only if they differed significantly in the ELA could you maybe conclude something, but I still think it’s shit.
The method for producing these highlights is also really roundabout, since it just re-compresses the input and compares it with the original. A much more straightforward method would be to count the number of bits in each block in the raw JPEG data to get a measure of how aggressively the blocks were quantized.
I’m all for paying for the media I consume, but I will never pay for YouTube. First and foremost, I don’t think they pay artists enough, which is why I buy all my music albums individually on services such as Bandcamp.
Second, I believe Google is working hard on turning the internet into a privacy violating walled garden riddled with unblockable ads, where all relevant technologies and standards are de facto controlled by them. I use uBlock and reVanced to block ads on YouTube and pay content creators through Patreon because I WANT to hurt Google financially by spending their compute resources without giving them ad impressions. I think everyone should do the same.
I have 170 albums in my Bandcamp collection. I have a lot more on my mp3 collection which I have bought via other means. Each album is maybe $10 on average, so that is around $1700. I have used Bandcamp for around 8 years after 7digital closed their EU store and eMusic became trash. So that’s around $17 per month. Not a lot of money in my book, music means a lot to me!

Technology@lemmy.world•Google has sent internet into ‘spiral of decline’, claims DeepMind co-founderEnglish
1·2 years agoI’ll just use this opportunity to mention kagi.com, a search engine that you pay for, but which doesn’t track you and gives you controls for customizing your search results yourself instead of letting an algorithm build a profile of your habits. I’ve used it for months now, and I’m not going back.
So much this! I don’t use Spotify, I buy all my music on Bandcamp. Sometimes I buy an album after just hearing the first song because I find it interesting, but then after a few more listens I realize that the album is not what I thought it was. However, I’m already committed because I paid for it, and it now sits at the top of my collection, so I continue to listen to it. Sometimes it turns out I find qualities in the music that I didn’t notice at the first listen, and I learn to like it. Sometimes not, and I ditch it.
This was also the way I discovered music before Spotify even existed, I just never changed my habits (I just used other services than Bandcamp back then). I think more people should try turning off the algorithmic entertainment faucet that is Spotify and try committing a bit more to the music that they listen to. Also, a lot more money goes to the artists this way, Spotify is basically stealing from the artists.

Nej, desværre, der skal du have en Pixel. Eller måske snart en Motorola.
