3·1 month agoyou layered yourself in blankets the other person is trying to help you make choices about your fabric choices because they affect both your perceived and your actual body temperature and help equalize your comfort between morning and night
they suggested a solution which ACTUALLY FITS YOUR WORLD VIEW of using less electricity or fossil fuels for comfort purposes and you berate them for it.
also, the idea that using energy for climate control is evil is an odd take IMO. not everybody lives in a temperate climate! people would literally die if you just deleted every HVAC system on the planet. and as much as I think it’s silly that Phoenix, AZ exists, the concept of forcibly displacing people from their current home is often frowned upon.
i thought the other guy saying you’d be fun at parties was going a bit far at first, but now I have to agree. There’s no need to be this argumentative or unreasonable and contrarian. unless you’re a misanthrope in which case carry on i suppose?

i remember when i was five on the top floor of a parking garage i touched the solar roof on my great-great granpappy’s fisker karma and got a nasty shock. Shocked the gay right out of me. But then i touched some exposed wiring on one of the tall lampposts and that turned me Bi so who’s laughin now gramps
coincidentally, the lamppost then also fell into his car, and he renounced his commitment to the environment and bought a Hummer h2 with his fat insurance payout
Thanks for the info. I suppose calling someone else a “degen” or similar would be in poor taste in many situations, given that it is often used by people in a derogatory manner anyhow. But the most common usage I see is members of esoteric communities calling themselves that, like Linux ricers or hardcore gamers or cyclists who “under-bike” (using a bike clearly under-equipped for the task at hand). This tongue-in-cheek use of “degeneracy” feels almost endearing to me, like self-deprecating humor
I hope I never see someone using the term in a truly derogatory way, and certainly hope the number is Nazis stays small compared to what I’ve seen. I don’t think it makes sense to stop using the word just because they use it, since that would just enable them to take whatever words they want.
I may not be the most terminally online person out there, but this is the first time I’ve seen anybody refer to “degen” as nazin terminology. I googled it and it’s all referring to gamblers and late night gamers and perverts. If they ever claimed the word, it doesn’t belong to them anymore.
I put some push pull stickers on doors at work since we moved into a new building without any and i noticed people pulling push doors all the time
Guess who still pulls the push door
i can’t be this dumb can i

used to love building printers. hated printing parts for printers. It’s all ABS/ASA and those are hard to print, what with the warping and bed/layer adhesion and toxic fumes. I print on a Railcore, which is an absolute beast of a printer and probably more sturdy than your average Voron, but it really wasn’t designed to be fully sealed so anything other than PLA has been a struggle for me.
