Sikhism and Islam are essentially exclusive in the modern world, but most Punjabis are Muslim. Punjabi here referring to the place of origin/language/culture of people.

Fun fact - most punjabis in the world are Muslim, since of the original Punjab about 2/3rds are in Pakistan and form the plurality of the population of what 250 million, and Indian Punjab has a much smaller population
