Whether it actually causes measurably more sales, my thoughts are that if paying customers are treated worse than pirates, then piracy is justified, so including Denuvo inherently justifies pirating the game to me.

If someone calls you a slur, or whatever, in a game, chances are they don’t care about the aspect of you they’re badmouthing - they don’t know you enough to care. To me, it’s usually either saying shit just for the sake of it, or it’s like a subconscious test of whether you have a stick up your ass, and if you actually get mad or offended, you’ve failed the test.
Seems like IO has restricted progression in offline play, like they did with Hitman. That’s really all I need, to know that I won’t be playing this.

Taking a 30 percent cut seems to be standard for the industry, and Valve provides above-standard services such as Workshop, matching, cloud sync, various community integrations. That aside, if they took a smaller cut, none of this would be passed on to the customer. In summary, whichever way the suit goes, I don’t see a reason to care.

No, I mean the error pops up as soon as the launcher opens, not when you try to login through Steam. My point is that it detects that you’re running the client through Steam, so it’s even more likely that A Steam release isn’t far off.
I tried it out, but got stopped by the anti-cheat every time I attempted to launch the game. Seeing the Steam login, which has an error except when you launch through Steam, is very suspicious.
I don’t know how much it’s changed, but pc performance was terrible around launch. Not only that, the story of the game sucks, and forces unskippable exposition dump hallway simulator sections on you. Hope you make a better game next time, Capcom.
