And libraries usually sell old books, and parks are full of food trucks and souvenir-mongers

I love mystery flash drives
I once found one near a high school loaded with hilariously terrible naruto x pokemon romantic fanfics
and one that had like $150 in dogecoin
Just clearing your browser cache fixes it like 80% of the time
I don’t get it either
as opposed to real marriage where yo have two people who don’t get along and don’t get each other off
I’ve seen so many of these - couples who viciously hate each other yet ‘don’t believe in divorce’

‘Big Yellow Taxi’ is overused, so here’s a different song to lament beautiful environments crushed into dust:
'They went down to the river, found the riverbed dry
Lost Eden in the valley, where the hummingbird cried
They went down to the shoreline in white rags and veils
And drew out in the sand a lament for the trail…
They went down to the valley, where the valley once laid
With reeds under the branches, where nightingales played
They bowed down to the north star as the last note was sung
With the sins of their fathers, their whole world was done.’

Semi-related: The right-wing economist Roger Freeman, advisor to both Reagan and Nixon was vehemently and openly against education for everyone, declaring that an ‘educated proletariat’ was like ‘dynamite’ and would somehow lead to student riots and the devaluation of higher education, openly pushing for education for elites only.
He was also a major influence on federal student loan program - some credit him as the architect of American student debt.
I do wonder if his attempts to push right wingers against higher education has harmed US education as a whole.
Out of the loop, what?
I’m thankful there’s finally a treatment for that

5·20 days agoI liked disco for the most part but so far the only parts of Academy I liked were Giamatti’s villan and the return of the Doctor.
The rest was just sort of a resounding ‘meh’; the plot didn’t hold me, the space-high-school melodrama between the cadets was boring and at times cringeworthy, and the big action sequence left me with more questions than answers.
I’m in this picture and don’t like it
