Might be worth giving https://bentopdf.com/ a try. I’ve just started using it . Seems ok. You can spin up your own locally (I haven’t done this yet) or I believe you can also edit PDFs locally in a browser.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve started using tailscale so I think that could help re: remote access. An interesting thought about a shared network drive though… I’m not yet at a point where I’ve got a server running 24/7 but I will be at some point (when RAM and storage stop killing me), which I think could be a good option outside of git

It’s honestly fucked. I’m not sure if I’m antisemitic (pretty sure I’m not) but the descripency in action drives me up the wall. For example, I’m hazy on details but a few years ago I believe some Jewish commentators / journalists messages got leaked, so there was then a change to legislation around doxxing etc. A bomb gets thrown amongst an indigenous group, reaction? shrugs

Yeah, I’m sure it’s user error somewhere. But trying to find / read logs etc etc or do any type of fault finding is a bit of a grind because I don’t use Linux enough to become proficient

I personally found this really easy to initially install, much easier than photo prism… however it’s died twice on me (postgres issues) first was due to an update and then incorrect permissions… I’m not sure what broke it the second time… So whilst easy to install, does still require maintenance and time to fix issues.
