Favorite authors include: Neal Stephenson, Jane Austen, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Michael Crichton, and others. I look forward to reading more Fredrick Backman, Kristin Hannah, Blake Crouch, Andy Weir, and Gillian Flynn as soon as possible.
Metroidvania seems to be my favorite video game genre overall. Big fan of Squaresoft and loving Ever Crisis. DragonballFighterZ keeps my thumbs strong.

There is a fan-made set of texture packs for the emulated Xenogears game here, if that helps scratch an itch.
You are in for a real treat! Squaresoft was in its prime and you have silliness and drama and tons of secrets to find. It’s the first thing i recommend as an RPG for introduction to the genre.
