Yeah. My wife and I have an Escape PHEV, and when it isn’t crazy cold and when we aren’t driving to another city or state, we don’t really touch the gasoline. I really wish it were an EREV instead of a PHEV to save weight on the drivetrain.

As Hank Green points out, as long as you plug an EREV (and, indeed, PHEV) in, you benefit enormously.

See my other comment, but they didn’t abandon EVs. They abandoned a full battery-EV F-150 in favor of an Extended Range EV, which is similar to a plug-in hybrid but without the hybrid system. So it will have an engine to charge the battery, but only electric motors to drive the wheels.

This makes a lot more sense for a vehicle like the F-150 with our current battery and charging tech.

No. They abandoned some EVs, like the Lightning F-150, which makes enormous sense. An EREV makes far more sense for that particular vehicle than a BEV.

But they’ll continue to make the Mach-e and smaller EVs.

I know it became a meme, but I love Liquid Glass. It’s never been an issue for me to read (in practice, anyway, as there were some examples in the announcement video that were hard to read but I assume those were from earlier builds).

The refraction is beautiful, the contrast is sufficient, it delivers on the promise Windows Aero made but could never achieve.

Plus I welcome with open arms a return to skeuomorphism. Controls appearing to have depth is so much nicer than the flat look everyone used for so long. I also love the jiggling that menus do when you touch them. 😁

I don’t ask this because I think it is. I ask this because audio is pretty damn easy to fake these days, and Candace Owens has no love for Erika Kirk.

I haven’t seen every adaptation Apple has done, but Silo is phenomenal. And every show on Apple TV I’ve watched has been excellent. Also, Sanderson having creative control can only be good news.

Not a chance. Sanderson has full creative control and approval. This is excellent news.

He had specifically said Hollywood didn’t know what to do with him, because after being so wildly successful he didn’t need their money, and he wanted creative control. Most authors give that up when they sell rights.
