I’ve upgraded from ctrl-r, to ctrl-r with fzf :3

I do that a lot lol :3 for me there’s a lot of reasons (anxiety, drained social battery, feeling extra dysphoric about my voice etc.) but I still like hanging out with friends together even if im not necessarily talking :3 I guess it’s kinda like parallel play… though I do usually interact more when playing games online than one would do with that, just not verbally. But there’s text chat, or helping my friends/working on a task together etc.

If I were working as a barber/hairdresser, and the place where I worked decided to exploit my private life so they could rebrand as an “AFAB-run hair salon”, I would run so fucking fast lol.

Maybe it’s just english being my 2nd language, but I was under the impression that the phrase “blank”-run usually refers to the owner? So the AFAB in AFAB-run would be the employer who set the sign referring to themselves? If im wrong on this, then yeah that adds an extra dimension of weirdness to it

AMAB/AFAB comes to mind. I think these terms are highly inappropriate and reductive. Think “AFAB-run hair salon” (yes, this was a real thing… tell me this doesn’t give TERF energy)

However, I have noticed that a lot of nonbinary people introduce themselves in this way. (“I’m afab nonbinary” etc.) I don’t understand the logic of introducing yourself with the gender you were assigned at birth.

Okay, so… as an enby the “AFAB-run hair salon” does sound weird to me lol. If someone wants to identify as that, that’s their choice to I suppose. In regards to the other thing I have introduced myself with my AGAB but only really when that information was relevant to the topic at hand, like discussing childhood experiences or matters concerning physiology and such, I personally prefer to leave that information out if not needed, but I don’t really see it as a big deal if other people do that? I mean I know plenty of trans girls and guys who will introduce themselves as a trans guy/girl off the rip, which is basically saying your AGAB, and if they’re fine disclosing that I don’t necessarily have an issue with it

The transmasc/transfem is not something I personally dealt with a lot, so im not gonna budge in on that tho

I rearranged my desk! By which I mean I moved my pen/stylus from the little circular base it comes with to the loop made to hold it on the tablet :3… takes longer to get it out, but also now it’s not in the way of my 2nd screen… might change it back tho, not sure

The only creatures I ever “homebrewed” into d&d have been from the mythology of the country im from tbh, so I didn’t exactly face language issues as I wasn’t playing in english lol… I suppose if I did have to do that, I’d adjust the creature names to fit better to the language tho :3

Lithuanian! Im not sure if they were loaned from estonian :3 we used to have 10 (nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, instrumental, locative, illative, allative, adessive, and vocative) allative is basically dead outside of a few words like velniop, adessive is just dead (only really seen in old writings) but illative is the interesting one: it’s not used in standard lithuanian outside of some set phrases (kairėn, dešinėn, and in our anthem vardan), but it’s still used in dzūkija and east aukštaitija, so… Yeah that’s some lore :3

Well the c being s and k thing comes from latin I think :3 like v and u being the same letter… and I believe i also had a second sound? Plus there’s vowel shifts that happened after the writing was standardized and all that, and characters that no longer exist like Þ and ð

Either way it can be confusing when coming from a language with a fairly regular pronunciation ^^ (though of course we also have some quirks lol)
