I am totally on team Tendi. She’s such an amazing character. Brains and a badass, not to mention I love her enthusiasm over the small things. Out of all the Star Trek shows and movies, of all the crew we’ve ever encountered, I have rarely enjoyed a character so much, except for maybe The Doctor and Garak.

True story. Flew our Klingon flag… neighbors thought it was a nazi flag. Had to explain…“no, no, we are not Nazis (I’m actually Jewish). We are just really big geeks.” Yeah…that was the last time we flew that one.
After you watch The Trouble with Tribbles follow it up with DS9 - Trials and Tribble-ations!

Star Trek Social Club•Interview: Aaron Waltke On How Voyager’s Doctor Shakes Things Up In ‘Star Trek: Prodigy’ Season 2English
10·2 years agoYay! My favorite doctor!!! I guess it makes sense seeing that Janeway and Chakotay are included. Not to mention the hologram thing without talking about season 1 spoilers (although y’all should have watched it by now if you haven’t)
Agreed. Whether it was one on Enterprise or an alien planet, etc. Ex: When Worf asks Picard to represent him as his Cha’Dlch on Qo’noS, the crewman who had a partial Romulan lineage on trial and later the witch hunt turns to Picard as a traitor, Q puts humanity on trial, when Riker is tasked to prove Data is not sentient, etc. This subject definitely needs a slice in the pie.
Mine would be
DS9
SNW
VOY
TNG
LD
Prodigy
TOS
ENT
Disco
Picard
(Haven’t seen TAS yet)
I’d have to say Sisko is likely the better cook. As far as we know he has more years of culinary experience. Moreover, even though his background is Creole cuisine, he likely has access to more recipes from other species not known or allied with during Pike’s tenure in Starfleet.
On the other hand, Pike seems to recreate and even improve upon foreign dishes quite skillfully. If Pike had the knowledge and access to ingredients available during the DS9 era, it is likely he could masterfully prepare dishes with possibly less effort than Sisko. (Maybe?)
Put them on an episode of Chopped with Neelix and (Sisko’s dad, Singing Klingon Chef, [insert culinary challenger here]). I would totally watch it.

Star Trek Social Club•Episode Discussion | Star Trek: Strange New Worlds | 2x09 "Subspace Rhapsody"English
1·2 years agoI am just the opposite. I love musicals and I love Star Trek, but this one was my least favorite of the season. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate them trying something innovative for the Trek series. I enjoyed seeing the actors working outside the box. But overall it didn’t give me the joy that the other episodes have.
Thank you for posting this. It is the first I heard about it. OP - you have made my day!

1·3 years agoThank you for sharing this article. I wasn’t aware of the animosity on set which is surprising because they had such great interplay in their scenes together. I am glad they have gotten over the issues and repaired their relationship. Voyager is my favorite older series and I personally loved those characters (and of course the Doctor).

Star Trek Social Club•Star Trek: Prodigy Is One Of The Most In-Demand TV Shows In The US, Data Shows
12·3 years agoIf they were smart they would have continued the series to keep kids interested and then ween them onto the older series. Increase fan base = increase monetization of products.
I too am saddened by the loss of the potential this show had. I loved the colorful animations. Even my husband, who is not a fan of Picard or Discovery, enjoyed Prodigy with surprisingly little criticism (he has a lot of opinions contrary to mine about the nature of the newer generation of Star Trek series).
I am holding hope that maybe they will bring it back at some point or perhaps another production company buys creative rights/licensing (not sure how it works) and revives the series.
This one is also my favorite. The love without being able to express love. The growing pains Lal endures. And my favorite scene, when there’s a couple kissing on ten forward and Lal yells “he’s biting her!”. Just tickles me. Likewise, when Lal goes to try out kissing with Riker and Data asks “what are your intentions with my daughter?”, Great writing. Then the utter sadness in the end. This episode takes you on a beautiful rollercoaster of human emotions, yet they are just out of reach by Data.
Funny. I drink my wine in coffee mugs and one of them just happens to be a Voyager mug. 😆
