Grundsätzlich finde ich ja, dass Staatsbedienstete gut bezahlt werden sollten. Aber jetzt mal ehrlich, fast 200KEUR sind doch gut, oder? Was fehlt einem da denn noch? Yes! I have (or rather now my child has) a very old Sony e-reader, a different but equally clunky one. It still works fine, the display is just as good as my kindle device minus the backlight and even the battery is still OK and lasts for several days of activity. And for a while now, I use my kindle the same way as the Sony, buying my content elsewhere and just transferring it to the reader.

Was wäre denn die richtige Anzahl? Dienst nach Vorschrift klingt vertragserfüllend. Wie war das noch, warum machen Leute mehr als sie müssten? Anreize? Perspektiven? Ne, das kostet ja Geld und ist anstrengend. Hoppla, machen vielleicht zu viele Arbeitgeber Dienst nach Vorschrift?

While I usually advise against it, the people I know who are paying customers use it for the one thing it is reasonably good at, wrangling text. Summarizing and writing stuff, that is not too important and just fixing it up afterwards instead of writing it all themselves.

You could try an email hoster, e.g. https://goneo.de/. That one is quite lowcost. You‘d have your own domain and thanks to catch-all could invent new addresses on the fly. Their data is hosted in Germany. Of course there are other vendors as well.
