I think this is hard to avoid with any war. However, Ukraine is defending so I hope they have less of a problem with this.

Dont forget about trust lost from other countries

To me it was like, oh, you made it different and that makes so much more sense, why are they not doing it like that in Windows? Or just during university; there is a tool for that format? And it is already installed? Nice.

See it as a mirror and not full issue tracking.

Notably, Windows 10 could do the same thing without any visible issues. And that’s probably because Windows 10 was a much lighter OS than Windows 11.
There is nothing wrong with being lightweight.
Maybe, just maybe, making the startmenu in React is not the best idea.
I got tired of having an OS that is working against me. That is not a healthy relationship. With Linux you can really see there is a shift in the mindset. User experience is prioritized and you are allowed to do what you want wherever you want to. This means for example things like running a live iso, installing the OS and surfing the web at the same time is possible. I can remap the super key, and other keys. Oh, tiling Window manager exist like hyperland. Omarchy. And how about tabs in the file explorer. Why did not Microsoft implement it 20 years ago like when it came to Linux.
Not everybody knows how to build a PC or how to install Steam OS on it. Here we also get support from the vendor so we know everything should work fine with the components.
I think it is a great idea! If you dont like it, then there is no downside, just don’t buy it.

This just means they made good enough products. People save some money, can use that money to buy something else they need, maybe just not from the same company. It saves the planet a little bit.
Let it fall. People will then finally understand that this solution is not good. Decentraltion is the original design of the Internet.

Not correct with tariffs. But making any changes retroative would be hard. Now, if he loses, I am sure the president would not get any kind of punishment…

I think you are aiming for people that don’t want to learn maintenance work. This means you have to take care of that part.
This means protect the OS from crashing when an app fill up the disk. Security. Upgrade the applications and the OS itself. Perform backup and rollback if something goes wrong. Add/removal off harddisks. Handle hardware failure and inform the user what they need to replace. Migrating to a new server.

I just install doas and make alias to it from sudo.

How much ram were the native app consuming?
Ctrl + a or crtl + e is start or end of line?

I did about 2 years ago. Dislike Microsoft decision to go against the user choice and all the bad updates and trying to make things worse. I went to Fedora after being on kubuntu for a while. I just needed something with kde 6 so wayland could work good.
So far I have not really found a good way to convice family. Instead they stay on familiar Windows 10. Will see if I have better luck after W10 ESU runs out.

Yes, competition is good.
It is just a problem when the competition is big tech and can ignore everybody else as they get even more money from somewhere else like Azure.

I think the there are better alternatives for backup like kopia and restic. Even seafile. Want protection against ransomware, storage compression, encryption, versioning, sync upon write and block deduplication.
Yepp. There is a gap. I have been waiting for you to open this position - why was it not done sooner?
