Gov. Greg Abbott vowed that authorities will work around the clock and said new areas were being searched as the water receded. He declared Sunday a day of prayer for the state.
AccuWeather said the private forecasting company and the National Weather Service sent warnings about potential flash flooding hours beforehand.
Authorities and elected officials have said they did not expect such an intense downpour, the equivalent of months’ worth of rain for the area.
The county had considered a flood warning system on the river similar to a tornado warning siren about six or seven years ago, but Kelly said the idea never got off the ground and the cost would have been an issue.
bugs won’t exist if you can just do it right the first time

I know your age range just from the master of disguise reference
nah there was a whole episode where people were banging next to where his dissertation was in the NYU library. he ends up banging a girl that was interested in his paper while policing the library next to his paper.
Ross wasn’t a grad student though. he was a PhD researcher + professor. back in the 90s, that would’ve been a decent gig.

is it really that bad compared to other things on the market? I did some Salesforce and some hubspot stuff and I wanted to off myself with those too lmao

that’s not how it works tho unfortunately. you’re allowed to dress up like an officer. it’s about whether you impersonate one in other words, make people believe you are one. if simply dressing like a cop is illegal, the male stripper industry would collapse.
most IDEs are pretty decent at it if you configure them correctly. I used intelliJ and it knows the difference. use the refactor feature and it’ll crawl references, not just rename all instances.
crazy how fast they ruined the reputation of this company. just a couple months ago, duo mascot and Duolingo streaks were cool and fun. they had a good thing going. but now it’s just another shit tech company again. they lost all the good will in like a month.

you’re quoting yourself but you never said that. you said maybe Gabe could be entering his villain phase, as if he’s not there yet. thus implying you meant he’s not a villain, so we shouldn’t assume the worse. I get what you say now, but you did not say what you meant in your original comment.

nah. you need to be pretty fucking terrible to build a business where your share of it is worth a billion dollars. you do so by cheating your customers, employees, and competition. valve is no exception.
there are plenty of companies out there that pay their employees decently, make good products, and compete fairly. those companies usually aren’t worth that much and their leaders aren’t making a billion dollars from it. you’re right that the tax policies are shit, but it’s not like you ever accidentally become a billionaire. you do so by cheating the tax system too and screwing the general public.
and nobody said anything about killing people.

I’m not. your post is literally saying we should be nicer to him because he’s not Elon. you’re saying we should be easy on him because he might be doing some good. I’m saying we shouldn’t.

let’s not circlejerk and have a soft spot for a billionaire just because you like video games. why give gaben the benefit of the doubt just because you think steam is a good product? if they’re a billionaire doing this, we can assume this is a money making venture.
if you’re a billionaire, you’re already way into your villain phase. he’s not musk, but he’s one of them. you don’t make a billion dollars. you take a billion dollars.
nah, it’s usually hand moisture that causes this. if you do a lot of stuff that dries your hands out, you’ll get it too. climbing chalk can do that. I also said 95% is hydration. vitamins can also help.
I’m positive 95% of your results came just from drinking more water. when your hands look like the picture, it’s almost definitely because you’re chronically dehydrated.

that’s been tech as an industry for the last decade. product releases, then all promised features come as a half baked update a year later… if at all. phones, games, cars, etc all use this strategy now unfortunately.
you can’t compare old VHS DVD market to digital one today. it’s completely different with no physical formats. with digital media, unlimited copies can be made with no cost. there’s no friction of having physical medium. youre also saying to go back to a system that completely failed.
even if small companies came about, they will have no budget if only a couple thousand copies are being sold and distributed for the whole community if sold at current prices. basic economics will just cause inflationary pressure and they’ll raise the price to fit the demand too. you need large companies to make large productions.
having a small companies also means nobody has a security blanket. you’ll be working in an industry where if your small studio produce a poor movie, your studio will fail and you’re out of a job.
