her poor father. He probably did his best, but some kids want to rebel, and for a Marxist becoming president of the US is a pretty big rebellious faze.

My small pedantic addition to your good comment: neolibs are neocons. They share the same ideology. They both think Thatcher was good

You reminded me of the town hall where newsy Steve martin asked her about whether they need a border wall and the discussion went something like: ‘trump was bad at it.’ ‘But do we need it’ ‘Democrats are better at building it. Remember how much of a liar Trump is?’

Another point that proves the American military industrial complex is good at weapons but not at war. It highlights the typical capitalist need for planned obsolescence. A socialist military plans for the survivability and reparability of it’s personnel and machines. The capitalist wants the machine to have expensive repairs. If people die? Oh well. Interesting article

3 years ago: wow. Crime is a social construct, and maybe it’s not OK to make fun of someone for having the entire machine come down on them Now: I’d rather choose a hammer than a nail

Maybe, but Afghanistan was a very different place in the 60s and 70s. If your argument is ‘that picture isn’t technically correct’ I think you’re missing the point

I had some success asking someone how Trump would be different for Palestinians. They said that he’d bomb them more. I replied with then current pictures of gaza and asked how more bombs would actually be different. To his credit, he seemed to get my point

Excellent. Thanks

The biggest argument against this is that they think there won’t be elections after Trump.

It’s unfair to judge her as a girlfriend when it’s a bad relationship. Mark’s got priorities, and she isn’t one. It’s on both of them to advocate for themselves, and she was better than Mark at it. Yours?

Invincible Written by Robert Kirkman. He also wrote the comic ‘the walking dead’. There was a tv show loosely based on it. Invincible is his love letter to super hero comics. He acknowledges tropes and then plays with them. It’s a lot of fun when it’s not dealing with heavy subjects.

OK. I’m a fan of the comic. There’s a fascist villain that’s going to be introduced, but the dad isn’t it. The dad’s character explores, for a bit, the trauma that following orders blindly can bring about.

I’m putting money on Trump becoming president in January. I also think he’ll be dead within the year. Project 25 people want Vance in the seat. It’s kinda like Cheney/Bush except Bush didn’t need constant training and pruning

Dude’s smart enough to understand a dog whistle. He knows what he’s saying. It’s pretty explicit

That’s great, but is decarbonization actually happening?

Something about how the market can’t stay irrational longer than something… It’s been a long time since gme

nukes is a good idea. you want to maximize damage/card against the timekeeper. Playing too many low cost cards will make you lose against them. Unfortunately, there’s no way to know if you’re going to get them as a final boss when you start act 1. I did an anarchist run. I had both Goldman AND Berkman, but they constantly spawn zero cost cards which doesn’t really help against the time keeper
Emma Goldman didn’t have good things to say about the Soviets. When she went there, the bureaucracy got in the way of her starting soup kitchens. She was also shunned by a lot of the left at that point for speaking about the problems of the Soviets. Which is all a round about way for me to wonder what the truth of Soviet occupation was like. I’ve got ancestors that were killed in Crimea by the communists, but I’ve always assumed it was because they were dirty capitalists because the story always mentions they owned a factory or mill. Makes me wonder because people don’t understand how horrible we’ve got it in North America. They’ve been brainwashed to think everything is wonderful.
