  • Right, but it’s not just a spreadsheet descision. Kojima’s name carries immense weight and is one of the biggest in the industry. Just having him attached to your brand sells systems. The last time a company backstabbed him like this, they spent a decade making nothing but Pachinko and sports games.

Sony cutting him out is gonna be a lot more damaging to them than breaking even on a niche project. And let’s not forget that Physint won’t be nearly as niche as Death Stranding. It’s his return to the genre that made him famous.

  • I miss old Rooster Teeth. I rarely go back to it, but I go on a little watch spree every few years.

I’d also include Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games. Incredible channel that was run by the man himself. I’ve learned so much about the developer side of things from his channel. Sadly he ended it a few years ago because he felt like he was able to talk about pretty much everything he wanted to touch on. And he had to get working on Kirby Air Riders.

A couple other small ones would be:

Scykoh- Made a series called Glitchfest where he would break down and show off significant bugs/glitches in games. Similar to A+Start.

Jasper- A guy who broke down how Nintendo created certain elements of their games. Very informative as well, but he only made a handful of videos and then just randomly stopped a few years ago.

Sp0ntanius- Musician who made creatively edited Zelda music covers. He actually still uploads the occasional video. But he often doesn’t upload for several years at a time.

  • I hope they win their lawsuit. But I am certainly boycotting this game and I encourage everyone else to do so as well. Rockstar has become the thing they used to satirize. Of course this game is going to be massively successful. But the more we can cut out of their sales, the better the whole industry will be. I mean shit, these assholes are actually trying to have you pay for a Netflix subscription just to watch their advertising of this trash. And that’s on top of a $100 price tag for the full game.

$100 for a revokable license is straight filth. Digital ownership is important, but as a physical collector, not even having the option to buy physical is the easiest pass I will ever take. Especially for a series that has not had any significant innovation in two decades.
