I do not have a gaming laptop though, and if Steam Deck has taught me anything, it’s that a Machine from Steam will have unnaturally long relevance and pretty cool support from Linux enthusiasts.

Said this in the privacy forum as well, but I’m honestly flabbergasted that there’s no way to remove items from the “recents” tab of the files app without outright deleting them from your phone entirely. And the “recents” tab in the preview app shamelessly displays files previewed from apps and directories marked as hidden.

I want them all, but I don’t know which order to get them in. I have a PS5+VR2, a Quest 3, and a Steam Deck, so I’m thinking Steam Machine first, since it has a controller, I can stop buying newer games from PlayStation, and I might be able to use my PSVR2 with a PC adapter. Then get a Frame later on after we get an idea of how “spatial computing” develops on Linux, and maybe a pass-through getup becomes available for it.
But holy hell would I be happy to rid myself of Meta as soon as humanly possible.

Language is something you can teach, but it isn’t really something that’s easily controlled. The term “OS” already means something like ‘a space that lets you interact with and manage apps and services on a personal computing device’ for most people. This is the case because of how its used with Apple, Google, Windows, Steam, Meta, etc…
So the literal operating systems of other kinds of equipment, such as a vending machine, might eventually end up with its own moniker if the distinction becomes important enough to matter.

My goodness! How did you upscale that image so beautifully??

The taxes are really high, so Nordic folk tend to base their online businesses in countries with lax tax laws then live off the proceeds in their home countries where the benefits are great.

I don’t like how the specific IP address is simply no longer listed.

Sounds targeted.

Either OP edited their post or you should go back and read it again. They just said the wait might be longer. They didn’t say valve said anything.
There’s no reaching. A car is a vehicle, but not all vehicles are cars. When someone says 2026, it is a year. There is zero implication of one half or the other. I think the omission of indicating the first half could be a slip up, but is worth noting. It could be interpreted as a suggestion.
I bring up promise because people tend to freak out when things get delayed, as if it were a promise. I mean to imply that we should expect a delay, and be pleasantly surprised if it launches any earlier.
Does this make sense?

And there it is.

OP opined that the wait might be longer, which isn’t false.
Furthermore, “We hope to ship in 2026, but…” specifically references 2026, and not the first half, which as I pointed out had only been referenced as their goal.
The first half of this year is still 2026, sure, but 2026 isn’t just the first half of this year. 2026 by itself is a whole year.
Do you see what this has to do with the conversation?
Metal Gear Solid and Kojima games in general. I think it’s a Kojima trait to make his games feel more like work than fun.
I managed to get into Death Stranding (on my second attempt) and came to understand the vibe. But I have little interest in delving into the sequel until I’m a retired old man looking for some purpose to life.
I am very interested in what he does with movies, though.

He probably doesn’t want to disclose that CSAM was included.
I can smell it from here.

If they analyze my personal purchase history, they might notice a trend that I’m not buying games from them for more than $40 anymore unless they’re single player, have epic storylines, and are heavily vouched for across the gaming community.
If they know this and start pricing their games around that budget for me, I might start spending more money in their store than I would have otherwise.
Otherwise, when I eventually get a Steam machine, I think the only games I’ll be buying from them will be the big budget single player exclusives. Assuming Sony still wants to make those.

I hate Microsoft and I would consider buying it if I can purge it of windows and install Steam OS on it. :)

My assumption is that it’s a living room PC with a windows equivalent of steam big-picture mode on it.
But knowing Microsoft, there will be shenanigans.
In the meantime, put all your files in a folder, compress it to a zip file, then delete the original file. Any time you want to view your stuff, you’ll have to unzip it, then delete the folder afterwards. That seems to remove all trace from your recents.
