  • Obviously I have heard about things like this happening to the women in my life but it was until recently that I experienced something like that myself when I saw a guy jacking off at a bus stop a girl was sitting in. It was such a surreal experience to see that happening in broad daylight in a city and I was and still am shocked honestly.

I pushed the guy and asked him wtf he was doing and he fled on his bicycle before I could do anything further.

In my life I have never had to worry about a guy jacking off while waiting for my bus. Never. The closest I got to unwanted attention was women touching me in a club or something but that’s it. If I was a women there would be no way that I’d leave the house without some kind of a weapon. That’s just the sad reality. I literally know no woman that hasn’t experienced something like you described.

I’m sorry you had to experience this. I hope the piece of shit wraps himself and his car around a tree soon.

  • Going to do a solo trip for the first time in my life (I think?). It’s only two days and not even that far from where I live lol but I’m excited. I’m going to hike along a river through some valley and sleep somewhere along the way.

My relationship is fine if anybody is wondering. We were just discussing doing stuff like this alone the other day and figured I might use my days off in a good way since I’m banned from entering Paris for unrelated reasons.

  • I went to the gym this afternoon. On the way home I pass a bus stop and a girl was sitting there. There was also a man standing right around the corner of the bus stop.

He immediately made me feel weird. He also had his bicycle standing next to hem. I thought that was odd because why would you have your bicycle with you at the bus stop. It’s not that common.

Anyway I didn’t trust it so after walking on for 20 meters or so I turned around to look. He was standing there FUCKING JACKING OFF. Like what the actual fuck man. This wasn’t some bus stop in the middle of nowhere either. It’s a fairly busy road.

I ran towards him and pushed him to the ground yelling: ‘what the fuck are you doing you weirdo’. He got up, ran to his bike and took off. Don’t know if the girl even noticed what happened as she was wearing headphones staring into her phone, and he was sneaked up behind the corner.

If I were a women I swear to God I wouldn’t leave the house without a weapon.

  • Well I don’t get them, I call in sick. And I most of the time do it for a cold too. First of all because I think we should normalise not working when feeling unwell, second because I don’t want to infect others either. I see hundreds of people through work on a weekly basis so me feeling sick can turn into hundreds of people feeling sick and I think that’s pretty selfish.

If my place of work has an issue with that, that’s up to them. My health and that of others is more important to me. We people work enough already and we should take back some selfrespect.

  • Well the relationships are a bit tricky.

On a Flanders and federal level the socdems and the greens are pretty much slandering us, saying they will never work with us and that we are an extremist party. On a local, municipal level though we are working together with them in at least two municipalities, and with success. So the local chapters are a bit more reasonable.

On a Brussels level their equivalents are more reasonable too and I expect them to invite us to work together, so we will probably govern some Brussels municipalities.

On a Walloon level the same basically. I think it’s because Brussels and Wallonia are much more left leaning. The Flanders socdems are parading behind the neolibs. Their chairman got involved in a scandal earlier this year when he drunkenly asked policemen to beat Roma people in his hometown. Very nice person, not extremist at all.

So there are options, especially locally. But I won’t go as far as to say we have a good relationship. We are open to govern together with them if possible but most of the time that’s a one way street and there is no favor returned.

Still, as we keep growing it will be hard for them to ignore us. Especially since the only options they’ll have left will be neolibs and that will eventually cost them their voters I guess.

  • It’s a dumb system. I’m originally from The Netherlands and never had to deal with anything like this. When I still went to school my mom would call and tell them I was sick and they were like ‘Okay get better soon’. When I worked in NL I’d call myself and tell them I was sick. If I was sick for a longer period of time I’d either go to the doctor myself because something was probably wrong or they’d send a doctor for the company to check on me.

Do people abuse that system of trust in The Netherlands? No. There’s no need to be overly controlling.
