Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some good/useful software that you use that aren't well known/talked about?
1·2 years agoI use davinci for editing and find it far more enjoyable than premiere. If davinci’s vfx tab was more powerful, then I wouldn’t leave the program at all

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is your "inexpensive" hobby that turned out to be expensive/ you gradually invested lots of money into?
2·3 years agoIt becomes a whole other can of worms when you start taking film photography. I just spent $1000 on a new medium format camera lol

21·3 years agoAs a “reddit refuge” I agree with this. I showed up on Lemmy a few days before the blackout, and even that small amount of time has been enough to notice a difference. I know people are hoping to recreate the things about reddit they love/miss here, but I really hope it doesn’t become a carbon copy of that place. Like many have said, I didn’t feel the urge to engage on reddit since it just felt a bit pointless, no one was gonna read it. Here I’ve felt like I can actually have good conversations with people, and have been doing so. Ultimately things will be what they will be, but I hope we can maintain that friendly community feel for a while longer.

I agree with you on all points, and the episode in question is a pop culture reference ridden pile of garbage, but the shut up and take my money meme does actually come from that episode. It’s not a reenactment
