When I started college 15 years ago tuition for me was $7,000 per year. When I finished 4 years later, it was $12,000 per year. Things going up is normal. Things costing almost double within a few years is not.

Currently Amazon (for prime membership and photo backup, mainly) and Disney/Hulu for “free” with Verizon. Dropped Netflix and Max a long time ago. Might get them for a month to catch up on some shows.

Some people have to go on blood thinners due to the covid shot. It’s rare, and most people should get their shot, but there are risks involved.

I work in a pharmacy and I’ve personally filled medications for about 5 people who said they are on blood thinners from getting a covid shot.

Guess we are just gonna have to pull a Cuba and maintain them for decades.

I’m all for ending tipping culture. And a tip before service may not be a tip, but as long as this is how it’s set up, it’s the current way we must do things.

Just like if you want someone to do some handy work for you, you can go on Craigslist and say “need someone to do ‘x’. Will pay $150” and workers who search on there for jobs will decide whether or not it’s worth it for them to do the job. This job just so happens to be giving you food or a ride.
