The author’s analysis is a tad too long. But from what I get from his explanation, and while I didn’t play FFT, is that the katakana writing of Ramza’s last name and of Beowulf’s name might be intentional in-lore, maybe to obfuscate his existence with that of another figure.

Or, my interpretation going by a thread the author seemed to start near the end but didn’t follow, maybe they were originally the same person but had the name slightly rewritten in certain events to slowly dismantle his role in history. After all, if you want to destroy an idea, you have to do it slowly, piece by piece, so people don’t notice it.

Played it some years ago. Story felt to be a lot on the weak side, but in retrospect, the gameplay was superb. =D

Being made officially DRM-free would allow pushing back to the notion ownership though. Piracy however, is just more ammunition for companies to take away that notion.

In line of SEO, it makes me think, with how the fediverse works, it could end up being a search engine of its own. Including, I may add, for external contents as tracking bots are made. Quite an interesting realization.

Warching Charlie Chaplin’s City Lights. First time in nearly 20 years I watch a movie starring him, and now I find his humor enjoyable. If you must browse places other than your subscribed feed, I’d suggest blocking news and country-related communities. Exceptions may happen, so maybe worth not being too trigger-happy and evaluating if the community is problematic.

Also, since you’re on Lemmy, there’s no native option for it, but you can hide posts with Ublock Origin when they link to sites that are usually agenda or political bickering-driven.

I disciplined myself to beat myself (metaphorically speaking) over being wasting time. The resulting stress makes me agitated, and the agitation can only be qwelled once I solve the source of the stress.
