@BaconWrappedEnigma @BalpeenHammer , it’ll come out in the wash.

@BaconWrappedEnigma @Dave , the majority of politicians have a clear conflict of interest - they’re either rich already going into politics or will be enriched when leaving through their actions of things they do/achieve for capitalist endeavours.
They overlook that by not caring for lower and middle class and not considering the planet at all they create a world that’s also poorer for themselves. Maybe that’s one of the reasons they are looking for paradise elsewhere.

@_ed , haha, only an AI could come up with something that bad.

@Ilovethebomb , it sounded like an accusation by you that Clark (and Key by the way) visited China celebrating the end of a time when they suffered greatly under Japan.
The West seems to have forgotten that but still glorifies other atrocities.
War and most military actions are a disgrace to humanity and therefore as a follow on most military vehicles/machines are not only useless to common folks but also an utter waste of money.

@Ilovethebomb , interesting, since people seem to quote with pride the dropping of atomic bombs that are hailed as solution to end WW2 and Japanese atrocities in Asia.
A little hypocrisy goes a long way.
We never shy of mentioning Clark when promoting our good relations with China where economic profits are concerned.

@Ilovethebomb , I remember her saying something about a navy vessel - ‘one warning shot across the bough of an illegal fishing boost in 15 years’…
I’m looking at value for the average citizen in spending - it is burning money often for things that could be substituted for much cheaper and more useful alternatives and therefore imho equals theft from
‘the greater good’ mostly for political reasons that now also indirectly support genocide.

@Ilovethebomb @AWOL_muppet , Helen Clark mentioned once the amount of actual use of some of the military vehicles purchased in the past and it was as close to zero as you can get.
That should’ve been taken into consideration on which to buy but
afaik hasn’t.
So in reality - toys for the military but no ferries, no…, no…, no…

@absGeekNZ , can’t really say. I’m about to buy my next tub, so I’ll see.

@BaconWrappedEnigma , yes.
It’s another thumb screw to squeeze ever more taxes from those who can barely/not afford it anymore.
An ill thought through action from a government we already know gives a damn about the environment and generally looks after the top of society and contrary to their statements cares neither for general business either.
Good solutions should take all these issues into account and find a way that serves the people.

@Dave , I don’t think it’s fair to paint all of ‘police’ in the same one brush stroke.
While it is a more male oriented organization with often all the shortcomings of some lesser advanced members of that gender, a generalisation might be convenient but is unfair to all those doing the right thing.

@BaconWrappedEnigma , I think that overall a large portion of petrol driven cars will pay quite a bit more - the reason is that a huge amount of newer cars were bought because they consumed up to half the amount that older ones did, the huge number of small, fuel friendly cars on the road atm shows this trend - so it will be a win for the tax man.
I can see that this will result in less kms driven (a good thing for the environment where it involves petrol cars), this in turn will also mean less weekend outings, less holidays further afield, and in clear text another knockout for the industry depending on it and for business in general - I hope I’m not going to be right.

@BalpeenHammer , yeah, wtf do we need a foreign county’s secret agency office here?

@Dave , darn that is weird. Uninstall, reinstall?
Waterfox? (running out of ideas).

@Dave , blatant favouritism (fascists: ‘this is the way’).

@Dave , my guess was cache related, though being the same under other circumstances I’d check the hardware related stuff -
hw acceleration and drivers.

@Fizz @Davriellelouna, if you’re killing someone you shouldn’t be able to enjoy the comforts of home while the ripples of your action devastate the lives of those around the deceased, imho the sentence should have your judgement as follow on once released.

@absGeekNZ, a good start is targeting the biggest polluters though, isn’t it?
@Dave , it’s a 'how can we get more votes for the coming disaster/elections - lives don’t matter.
