(Before i go on, let’s get a couple of things out of the way. Yes, there are many other ways of merging and filtering feeds. I wanted something that was separate to my rss reader, simple, and free. Nothing else quite fit the bill).

Also…

This is not a public production app to download or register to use. It’s more of a make your own DIY with instructions and code that’s ready to copy and paste. Don’t let that put you off if you’re not a technical user. You just follow the instructions and paste the code.

So…

FeedGate is a tool for merging and filtering RSS feeds and incoming webhooks.

It has three basic parts

  1. General settings - a name for your merged feed, a limit for total number of items and how long items can be in the feed for.
  2. Sources - these are the urls of your RSS feeds and webhooks.
  3. Include/exclude - this is where you can add keywords to include or exclude items that contain those words.

Your merged feed can be subscribed to like any other RSS feed, or be pushed to a webhook.
