I don’t know how to switch accounts and fucked up my wife’s entire persona she was building by commenting under her account. Stories will eventually come about about him being inappropriate that actually turn sour and all of a sudden what he’s been doing the whole time will be seen as horrible and creepy. So you just hate men so much you think they’re all just waiting to be found out as secretly horrible and creepy?
I mean, as a man, there is a pretty good chance of this being correct based on the historical career paths of Hollywood stars. I think that they get idolized so much that when they eventually do something human, the media spins into a disaster and then people hate them. It’s all part of their character development as famous actors. Down the line we’ll probably get a redemption arc and then he will seem like a wise, seasoned voice of reason (That was a little rhymey, but I am going to leave it.).
To add to this, people have this weird blind spot with actors. I think because they all excel at playing roles and wearing costumes and many maintain their kayfabe at all times in public, it’s easy to believe there is this wide gamut of personalities; they’re aren’t. It takes a VERY specific set of personality traits, and life paths to arrive at the conclusion that you are special enough that millions of people should watch you and hear what you have to say.
On the surface, people like David Spade and Gene Hackman may seem like they couldn’t be further apart, but I’d wager they have far more in common than any two strangers chosen at random for an office building.
