Agreed. A big tent is going to collapse in on itself, not lead to a revolution. That they wound up with some whiny neolib on their trip to Cuba shows that they are not educating or vetting people enough. All of the current wave of support in the imperial press is clearly in favor of social democracy, not even democratic socialism even though they’re using that term. Honestly, that might even be a psyop to further water down the membership to the point that any revolutionary potential within the DSA is effectively squashed. I hope this leads to DSA fracturing, and those who are actual socialists joining another org.

This is exactly the kind of pussyfooting around issues like Abu Ghraib & other black sites, imperialist wars in general, that is leading the democrats themselves into political irrelevancy. “Erm we don’t approve of Platner’s campaign being derailed by extremely credible rape accusations after we blew off the first ones, we just wish he had delivered Better Living Standards™ to the people of Maine” has the same ring to it as “look we hate the Mullahs just as much as anyone, in fact we had similar operations against the Dictatorship planned, we just disagree with how Trump does it”. There are zero political alternatives to the democrats which are not democrats lite or some kind of bullshit cult. I won’t elaborate on what needs to be done to the USA in light of this.

You haven’t learned anything from years + years of eating shit & making compromises with nobody for “optical” benefits, other than that the “activists & purity testers” are getting you down. They would be better off caving your skulls in with pots & pans.
