I mean Lebensraum was just the Nazi version of Manifest Destiny.

The Nazi’s great crime, in the eyes of other Europeans, wasn’t that they did all that stuff, it’s they did it to other white people

Yep. And European colonialism was the blueprint for everything the US did, and so on and so forth, going all the way back to before recorded history.

This is nothing new. The history of our species would indicate that it’s in our nature to destroy ourselves.

It is silly that anyone thinks any of this is new, especially after living through the War on Terror when Bush and Obama disappeared people into black sites and torture facilities and set up the infrastructure for later presidents and tech companies to collect data on and profile everyone in the US without any limits or guardrails.

To the extent that liberals have historically combated fascism, they’ve always been the last ones to the Nazi Bashing party.

So what? They’re opposing Nazis now, so for the moment they could be allies. What is this scolding supposed to achieve, other than in-group virtue signaling?

          They’re opposing Nazis now

Are they though? Half of them are still supporting Israel, most of the rest are supporting the fascist DNC

Don’t ever compare anything to NS Germany.

Nothing compares to it. If you think that it is the case you don’t have a fucking clue about the horrors that happened there.

      Um.

You know they have camps over there now, people are kidnapped off the streets and can not be traced by legal means.

I agree about the no clue horrors part, but they’ve gone a long way towards it already.

I know. This literally is the tip of the ice berg. If you think Nazis were bad because of camps you utterly underestimate what happened there.

Edit: “Facism is on the rise there", I agree. “NS Germany was like the current US,” is ignorant.

Uh, the Nazis literally used US decisions to force sterilize low iq people as a defense at the Nuremberg trials.

WW2 was absolutely a case of the us being evil, and the Nazis being so much more evil that they had to be stopped, that doesn’t mean there were not similarities, and we should definitely not write out that chapter of history the way we have

Later on? Yea the US is absolutely not there. Early stages? I don’t see why not.

Hitler did literally look at Border Patrol in the US and went neat. I can use these policies for my regime. Thats the comparison. These policies, when followed through to their natural conclusion, end up where Germany went. It’s quite literally the canary in coal mine situation. People are saying, this is a warning.

Very specifically, Zyklon-B, the gas used to kill millions of Jews and others, was used y the US, on the Mexican border, as a delousing agent

Nothing compares to the Nazi, they are super special. Actually nothing can be ever compared to hitler or (do I dare to say it) the hologram! We europeans are just too special, the center of attention, where the history is written and lived. Actually culture outside of it doesn’t exist at all.
