Nice, I planted some beans and sweat pea recently right after some poppies. Fingers crossed they have enough time to flower.

I love the flowers in the legume family.

I would love to see a photo of that when they are ready. I moved last year to a place with lots of space and I have been planting random stuff just figuring out what I like. So any exposure to new stuff is appreciated.

I’m realizing I slandered the scarlet runner for no reason 😫 it’s a really delicious and creamy bean. I meant broad beans. From previous years:

          Bonus example, snow peas 🤣:

I HATE snow peas, but I eat them grumpily because they are so pretty.

Congrats on getting a bigger place! We have had 4 years in our space moving up from a < 600 sq ft apartment to a <1000 sq ft house with half an acre, which includes a septic tank and some large trees. Huge learning curve for us even if it’s very small by many standards!

If I can make one suggestion it would be nasturtium as something to pretty up the veggie garden if they thrive in your zone. It has self seeded very reliably for us, which is always a plus! In contrast to self seeded marigolds it still creeps rather than self selecting the most giant towering flowers that shade out other plants 🤣
