Amid celebrations of America’s 250th anniversary, assertions of the country’s religious, and specifically Christian, character have grown louder in political discourse.

In May 2026, House Speaker Mike Johnson and other prominent officials participated in a prayer service in Washington, D.C. Johnson proclaimed, “We hereby rededicate the United States of America as one nation under God.” Though planners invoked the nation’s “Judeo-Christian” heritage, most religious leaders at the event came from the evangelical Christian tradition. In a prerecorded video, President Donald Trump read from the New Testament book of 2 Corinthians.

Religion has NO place in our government. Period. It’s in the 1st Amendment.

I am under no obligation to follow the rules of some whack-job death cult, that worships torture, murder, cannabilism, and zombies.

They’ve never stopped, not for a single day. They added “one county, under God” in the 50s.

There’s was the whole Christians genociding Indians thing. Trail of tears… And look. 250 years later more concentration camps. And in-between more concentration camps. And the world’s highest incarceration rate per capita in the world. And the highest incidence of male on male rape, because of those prisons.

Seems like genocide, murder, rape, torture maga… Make America great again. So great.

How about make America Christian-free? And the other religions can fuck right off as well.

Theocracy should be met with violent resistance. Theocrats are evil and/or stupid and should be treated with the utmost hostility.

How about grown adults stop believing in invisible magic men in the sky, and act like grown adults?

That would require them to accept they’ve wasted their lives waiting patiently for a reward that will never come and that they’re actually responsible for their own actions.
