Actually I think every food you make yourself is comfort food in a rough self-image phase. At least for me doing something myself (and additionally creating something tasty in the process) provides a sense of purpose and self-efficacy which both helps boost ones self-image on rough days.
I personally like baking cake recipes I’m experienced in and/or make some simple food stuffs I’m less prone to fail in.
