Okay, now, that I just finished rewatched ‘Sinners’ & loved it! Yes more, than the 1st-time, but as I said before the 1st-time I a lot more expectations, that were not met, while this 2nd-time I had no expectations, but actually expecting to be let down like before.
I was not let down & entertained- the script, music were awesome, but my favorite part was the choreography in the scenes of Black music through all the histories was greatest music thing I have ever seen in movies!
Really the only thing it was missing, 2nd-time watched, was Caucasian & Minority (Black, Asian & Mixed/Black & Caucasian) people coming together, for a more positive future & if that was not bad enough the only time was talked about in the movie, was the head of the Vampires, as a trick, to get main characters to turn into Vampires- basically, we are all one as Vampires & that will never happen as the living.
I mean in 10/1992 could have shown Caucasian & Minority (Black, Asian & Mixed/Black & Caucasian) people coming together or even show it in 1932, not like it did not exist, even then. If you do not believe me, then learn about one of favorite documentaries (used to play a lot on ‘Free Speech’, plus ‘Democracy Now’ has done at least 1-segment on it) about Wilmington, N.C. around the same time.
There was another thing at the early part of the movie, that just logically did work, cannot remember now, probably because it is so tiny of a nit pick. I told my roommate (could not believe the last two shown Vampires would not have burned, with the sunrise, I could believe them getting away in time) that I did find something that makes no sense, but there just nit picking a awesome movie.
I been talking about peaceful activism is only way, but admittedly I was rooting for a lot of BAD people-creatures to be killed. Of course, in real life I am Peaceful Activist.
I still think this is the 2nd best movie, to ‘One Battle, After Another Battle’- rarely do movies have activists as center point.
Thus I to had to delete the thread I created called- ‘Can Someone Help Me Understand Why ‘The Sinner’ has Nominations? Yes, I Did Watch It, But Only Once So Far.’, & I created this thread.
I loved the take on the vampire, and the setting. I also loved the music! I’ll sit and listen to it at work sometimes
You mean like people from Georgia and Armenia?
I do not understand what you mean by that reply?
The vampire plot was just shit. The second half was so cliche and boring, also not scary at all. The cgi was not amazing either in second half. I didn’t understand the hype either. There were a lot of movies last year that were much tightly packed and delivered till the end.
Downvoted for opinion xD
To each, their own,
The only point was I love the movie, but just not 16-nominations & I think ‘One Battle, After Another Battle’ is equal & movie of the year.
