So much in this conversation that I’ve been thinking about in my own way –

• Around 4:00 to 5:00: In addition to political and economic imperialism, we are subject to intellectual imperialism. Indigenous perspectives are silenced by ways of thinking from the imperialists. And although we supposedly has decolonisation in the 20th century, intellectual imperialism persists.

It’s like with Irish leftism… we have our own leftism we’ve been doing for centuries… it’s called Republican Socialism… now we’re supposed to kowtow to the shite leftism that American academics (who’ve no revolutionary chops) have come up with in the past 10 years… their notions displacing our indigenous perspective.
