Sexual preference is inherently selfish though. I’m not shaming it just calling it what it is.

There is no ideal height combo. You should enter into a relationship with a person because you like who they are as a person. Height preferences are purely selfish sexual interests.
I shower regularly now but a few years ago I had major depression and stopped showering for months. I could barely motivate myself to breathe. I’m not even kidding, I was so depressed I was struggling to breathe. People don’t realize just how much effort it takes to do basic things like eat, brush your teeth, or even get out of bed when you have no will to be alive.
Even so, no one ever commented on it. Not even close family. I’ve always had super dry skin and I noticed that during this period my skin was actually somewhat normal. It’s possible no one said anything out of kindness but I doubt it tbh. Some people just sweat/smell less than others.
No way! An authentic Yupoong.
I feel like this is something they would do with Mt. Dew. I would also try it at least once.
Maybe we could just saw it off. It’s kinda just hanging there like a festering limb.

PC Master Race@lemmy.world•Rising Cost for Gamers Likely Not Slowing Down as Micron Warns They Have No "Line of Sight" for When Memory Supply Will Catch Up to DemandEnglish
212·9 days agoHopefully someone gets a good “Line of Sight” on the Micron CEO.
Hostile, not that I have seen. Insular, possibly. Lemmy is much smaller than Reddit (which I personally enjoy) so it can seem like somewhat of an island. It’s kind of inevitable to find know-it-all’s in a thread based platform like this, unfortunately. I would imagine most people on here are very tech savvy and we tend to have a more nitpicky way of socializing/viewing the world. In the few years I’ve been here Lemmy has grown tremendously though.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is Apple One worth it in the US when you take into account of minimum wages from an average American worker?
16·13 days agoIf you’re making minimum wage in the US you can’t even afford to exist, let alone have a subscription service of any kind.
I’m not an expert on this subject or anything but from my understanding Caddy would still use your IP address. Using Pangolin with a VPS would give your website the VPS’s ip which is better for security reasons.
Might have to type “Pangolin software” but it essentially functions as a reverse proxy as well as a VPN to hide your home network IP when paired with a VPS.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you have any movies that you rewatch at a specific time of year?
12·17 days agoNice. I always watch during the fall when the air turns crisp and I’ll pair it with a hard apple cider.
Personally I prefer being able to just give someone a link without getting them to download and use a VPN. That’s why I went with Pangolin since it essentially functions as both.
I’ve been enjoying using Finamp for my Jellyfin server, although you will need a proxy if you want to use it outside of your home network. I’m paying $7 a month (it used to be $5 😭) for a VPS that’s running Pangolin tunneled to my home server running Jellyfin. It’s basically my own private Spotify/Netflix/Audible. There are also free options like Nginx for the proxy.
Pros:
- Open source with desktop/web/android apps
- Free/cheap once set up
- Functions like major streaming services but doesn’t come with their bullshit
- You have complete control over everything since it is self-hosted
Cons:
- Set up can be tough depending on your skill level
- Requires your own home server PC
- You must add all of your own content, be it through torrenting, ripping CDs, etc.
I quite literally just saw a post about liking Windows over Linux on Lemmy today… In fact, one of the comments used a version of this meme in reply.
Same. I’m currently doing the mini PC media center. It’s nice but I don’t see my family doing something like that. It’s a bit too expensive and less plug and play than a $40 Roku/Chromecast unfortunately.

I’m not implying that at all. And what’s with the personal attack??? Talk about implying. I’m saying that in order to find a good relationship we should learn how to recognize and potentially put aside these sexual preferences in favor of seeing a person for who they really are. Most women prefer taller men. The height doesn’t make them better partners.
