  • This is awesome advice, I appreciate it! Definitely feeling the lack of strength in my legs and I need to work on squats and back shape.

I don’t know if you are based in the US, but I need to figure out where I can watch some professional games on TV. We usually get the Six Nations, but outside of that I might need to look further afield.

Your last comment was inspiring AF, I’m hurting today, but it felt good to meet some people and move my body.

Did you struggle with imposter syndrome or embarrassment when you first started? I definitely felt like I was bumbling around last night and had to tap out a few times.

  • I’ll probably get some hate from the pure JRPG community for this comment (and I don’t disagree either)…

I loved Lunar: Silver Star Harmony when it came out. I didn’t play the originals, I’d just moved to the states and was living on a couch at my mom’s place and honestly things weren’t great for me… but I did bring my PSP with me and picked up Lunar.

I fell in love with that game, the music, anime cutscenes and I also really liked the art style (the comment that will piss off a lot of ppl) because I didn’t have the nostalgia. I was able to put my headphones on and escape for a bit!

I recently got the Lunar Remastered Collection on Steam and it didn’t hit the same way as it did on the PSP. That game got me through some tough times!

Oh and GTA: Chinatown Wars is phenomenal!

  • We didn’t go down to the loop or anywhere else in Hakone due to time, we mostly did the museum and stayed in an adorable ryokan with an onsen that was nearby! The food options were a little limited, but it was so cute in that part of town. If we stayed longer we definitely would have explored more.

The open air museum was one of the best parts of our trip! Insane how they have this huge collection of sculptures in the middle of the mountains! A lot of big names and some really cool Japanese artists I’d never experienced before!

  • In the exact same boat, I’d love to know what apps people are using (tvOS & iOS)? I don’t have Plex accessible from outside my LAN (I use DirectPlay most of the time), but I do download to my iPhone/iPad with the Plex app for when I travel. Considering the questionable decisions Plex keeps making, I’m leaning towards switching to Jellyfin.

  • I second this, my old server was previously OMV and then Proxmox. But with my replacement server I went Arch after loving my Steam Deck experience. You’ll learn a lot and I feel like the complaints of it constantly breaking aren’t true if you put a little effort before running updates. I mostly use it headless for remote development (LazyVim) and running containers (moved to Podman from Docker), but I also use Niri for the DE when I do need to use a monitor, for example playing Dwarf Fortress.

  • Hey HybridSarcasm

    • Yep, the Flint 2 is tagging ports 2 & 3 with all VLAN IDs (trunk?)
    • Nothing between the router and switches
    • Shared the /etc/config/network

How do you have your switches configured?

  • After university I was looking for any part time work I could find. This was in 2007-2008, so the job market wasn’t particularly good in the UK. Ended up at a company that did over the phone charity donations. I wasn’t working for a specific charity, it was a company hired by charities to make cold calls. Called a lady who said she was going through chemo and lost her job recently, although she really would love to help a children’s hospital, she couldn’t afford it. Asshole manager is listening in on the call, makes a hand motion and mouths to me “keep pushing, it’s just excuses”. I apologized for taking up the ladies time and said I hoped her treatment goes well. Hung up, took off the headset and walked out the door. One of the best decisions I’ve made in my life!
