  • Dude Lies of P is really really good, I definitely recommend it if you are craving more parrying. The timings are tighter than in sekiro, but you are meant to combine perfect blocks and dodges.

You have the instant L1 block, but a couple of weapons also have different type of delayed parry baked in (with different delays and / follow up). There is also an interesting weapon customization mechanic that lets you modify a weapons moveset and pick and choose what you like to fit your playstyle and build. I didn’t play too much with this but you can make cool stuff. and much like in sekiro you get a customizable arm that can be offensive or defensive.

It has awesome boss fights, excellent music, and the story is a very creative adaptation of the pinocchio fairytale. The main downside for me is that the game is super linear with almost no exploration. Some sections are a bit too long, (The game in general is much much longer than sekiro,)

All in all, I loved the game. :)

  • Yup…At the end of the day I think we are not the target crowd for this; it’s primarily an avenue to further exploit the ip with a non gamer (or non soulslike gamer) audience. The fact that GRRM is connected to it made it prime candidate for an adaptation as that is an excellent marketing hook.

It makes me curious, tho, and It could be something interesting, but… That feels highly unlikely.

Good input on the cast, thanks! In my case I’ve seen some of Garlands directorial work. (Ex machina, 28/years later). Which, are ok,? I’mot crazy about them. I do like 28 days later, which he wrote. The fact that he has played the game is the best thing about all of this.
